Funerals, Memorials & Celebrations of Life
Honouring a Life, Telling a Story
When a family member passes away, there is significant value in having a gathering to commemorate their life and begin the process of saying goodbye in a meaningful and memorable way.
Wherever You Need Us
We can serve your family whether you choose a traditional Funeral or Memorial Service at a funeral home, a Graveside Committal at a cemetery, or a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the location of your choice—backyard, golf course, restaurant, or local pub.
A Thoughtful Beginning
We begin with an initial phone meeting to confirm the details of the service, including the type of ceremony that best suits your family's needs.
A Service That Reflects a Life
You'll receive access to our exclusive online portal with a step-by-step guide to creating a service that reflects your loved one, with a vast number of options and ideas to draw from.
Here When You Need Us
We serve families “at need” or “pre-need” and are available year-round, including holidays. We work well with funeral homes, funeral directors, and other end-of-life professionals.
Leading the service for your family is our honour. Our style is warm, engaging, and respectful. We are flexible and open to any creative celebration expressions you wish to include.

Jordan Grant

Every life has a story. Every relationship has a story. And the moments that matter most deserve words that feel true to the people living them.
I'm Jordan Grant, founder of Storybound.
For much of my career, I've had the privilege of being invited into people's lives during some of their most significant moments—celebrating marriages, honouring lives, supporting families through loss, and helping people navigate important life decisions.
Those experiences taught me something: the best ceremonies aren't really about the person standing at the front. They're about the people gathered in the room.
My role is to listen, understand your story, and then find the words to tell it well.
Ordained chaplain. Licensed funeral director. Registered marriage officiant. Experienced public speaker.
Master's in Leadership & Management · Executive MBA in Innovation Leadership
While credentials and experience matter, I believe what matters most in this work is the ability to connect with people.
I've spent years sitting across kitchen tables and in funeral homes, churches, wedding venues, boardrooms, and family living rooms listening to people tell me about their lives. I've learned to ask good questions, notice the little details, and discover the stories that reveal who people really are.
That's the heart behind Storybound.
For weddings, I want your guests to hear your ceremony and think, "That's them." It can be joyful and funny, traditional or contemporary, deeply spiritual or completely non-religious. It should sound like you.
For funerals and celebrations of life, my goal is equally personal: to go beyond dates and accomplishments and help tell the story of a life—the relationships, personality, values, humour, struggles, faith, and ordinary moments that made someone unforgettable to the people who loved them.
I don't believe life's biggest moments should be marked by generic words pulled from a template.
They deserve your words. Your memories. Your story.
That's why I created Storybound.
Your life. Your people. Your story.
I'd be honoured to help you tell it.
Our Promise
Three Foundational Commitments
At Storybound, every ceremony begins with a simple belief: your story deserves to be told well. Whether celebrating a marriage, honouring a life, or marking one of life's other significant moments, my commitment is to create ceremonies that are personal, authentic, and memorable.
Confidence
- Experience matters. I bring years of experience as an officiant, licensed funeral director, ordained chaplain, public speaker, and professional communicator to every ceremony.
- Your ceremony is in capable hands. I take the responsibility of leading life's most important moments seriously—from our first conversation through to the ceremony itself.
- For weddings, I am legally authorized to solemnize marriages in Ontario and ensure the legal requirements of the ceremony are handled properly.
- Preparation is part of the experience. I take the time to understand the people, relationships, and stories behind every ceremony so you can be fully present when the day arrives.
- Clear communication, professionalism, and reliability are fundamental to the Storybound experience.
Choice
- No two stories are the same, so no two ceremonies should be either.
- Your ceremony can be traditional or contemporary, formal or relaxed, faith-based or non-religious—or somewhere beautifully in between.
- You decide how personal your ceremony becomes. I provide ideas, guidance, and structure while making sure the final ceremony still sounds and feels like you.
- Family members and friends can be incorporated through readings, stories, music, prayers, tributes, or other meaningful elements.
- Your ceremony belongs where your story takes you. I work with venues and locations throughout the communities I serve.
Connection
- Storybound is built around listening first. I want to know more than names, dates, and logistics—I want to understand the people and the story behind the occasion.
- Every couple and family receives personal attention and an opportunity to share what matters most to them.
- Meetings can be held in person, by phone, or by video, depending on what works best for you.
- I work collaboratively with families, couples, funeral homes, wedding venues, planners, and other professionals to help create a seamless experience.
- Above all, I want the people gathered for your ceremony to recognize themselves in the words being spoken.
Your life. Your people. Your story.
Storybound exists to help you tell it.
